Principal's Report

Term 4

Year 6 students spent the day at their secondary colleges on Tuesday 11th December. Their seven years of primary school are quickly drawing to a close and a new stage begins. They were very excited to share their experiences and expectations for 2019.

At Valkstone we have a few changes to our staff for next year.

Ms Mel Borella is moving to St Kilda Park Primary as a Leading Teacher of Capabilities. We wish her well and thank her for her contribution  to our learning community.

Mrs Jo Blampied is joining Mentone Girls Grammar. Best wishes.

Mrs Jane Brown and Miss Anthea Pellow are taking leave.

Mrs Michelle Fernandez is returning to Hampton Primary. Thank you for your year in Art. 

Mrs Laurine Sandford is retiring after a long career in administration support, the last 18 years at Valkstone. We wish you a happy retirement.

Mrs Berri Albrecht, integration support, is retiring. Best wishes Berri.

Mr Mark Berry, our trusty groundsman and handyman is retiring. Thank you, Mark!

Mrs Georgia Jeffery is moving to country Victoria. We wish you well for the tree change.

Mrs Kate Savigny will be with us for the first few weeks before she takes family leave.

Glen Eira Active Schools Program

Robert from the City of Glen Eira will be attending Assembly on Monday 17th December to draw the winner of the Gamin. All completed Walking Tickets MUST be at school on Friday 14th December to be included in the draw.

Building Update

As always, we are flexible! At this stage, it is planned to move the last MOD5  out Thursday 13th December. Landscaping and groundworks are continuing around the basketball/netball courts.
