China

We went on our first school trip to China.  It was a wonderful cultural and fun experience.  We visited the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, Terracotta Warriors, Xian, Beijing, Shanghai & Nanjing.  One of the highlights was visiting our sister school in Nanjing.

Our children spoke in Mandarin at the assembly and enjoyed classroom experiences such as calligraphy painting.

We plan to offer this trip every second year to Dohertys Creek families.

Below is an excerpt from Rohan's diary.

China Trip - Day 9 (2nd last day)

In the morning we got up had breakfast and then took a bus to Shanghai Disneyland.  When we arrived at the bus strop we started walkning to the main entrance, when we had got there we all had to wait in a line for 1/2 and hour to get in.  When we got in we immediately started going on rides, the first ride we went on was Tron, the fastest ride in Disneyland.

The second we went of was called Buzzlight Year - Rescue.  After going on a few more rides we decided to have lunch, I had Ratatouille, a crepe and a croissant.

After lunch the parade started so all the rides we went on had short lines.  Later it was time to go so we left Disneyland and met our tour guide and hopped on a bus taking us to a acrobatics show.

I enjoyed the acrobatics show and Disneyland very much.
