Term 3

Students will resume Term 3 classes on Tuesday, 21 July, with CREW at 8:50am. Teachers will be returning a day earlier (Monday, 20 July) for their Staff Development Day.

We wish everyone a relaxing and safe holiday break. 

New School Construction

A drive past the new ASC site will reveal that external works are advancing quite rapidly. The external cladding, roof, air conditioning and skylights are complete. Hard landscaping is progressing well, with roadworks, paths and planting in progress.  Preparation of the football oval and levelling of the site is on-going.

The final sunscreen is currently being installed around the Library level and can be seen from Butler Street. This screen depicts the contour lines between Armidale High and Duval High, and is a fitting acknowledgment of the historical connections of both schools. Other screens depict the inspirations and colours representative of the local area; such as trees, blossoms and autumn leaves. 

Internally the heritage building, administration area and Learning Commons are in the final stages of completion.  Painting and joinery fit-out is on-going in other Learning Commons.

The staff and School Captains have recently toured some of the facilities. Preparations are already underway for the re-location from Duval campus late in Term 4 so that we can be ready for the official start Day 1 Term 1 in 2021. These plans include intensive familiarisation activities for staff and students during Term 4.
