GUESS WHAT Henry Kendall High School! 

We are proud to announce that the school has received a NEW water station! 

(Which will be installed soon)

A few weeks ago, in Term 2, the famous group that calls themselves ‘The Water Gang’ which includes Milana St. Clair, Pia McLean Barth, Aidan Wallace, Sarah Leggett, Felix Tebbutt, James Vocalan, Delany Marturia, Skye Caporn, Evan Morton and Sanika Nou, entered a competition representing the school to compete with 7 other schools on the Central Coast, to win a new chilled water refill station. With determination, WE DID! YIPPEE! 

Our group made a stop motion video about a cup's journey through the school to the chilled water station, located in our library COLA. In the video Milana talked about the consequences of using non-recyclable plastic water bottles, and how it can badly impact our environment. She also talked about the importance of drinking water, and choosing it over other drinks. We will also be trying to promote choosing water and refillable water bottles in our school community, by possibly having our HKHS water bottles for sale at the canteen, and putting visually oriented posters up around the school.

As part of the project we were required to show our IDEA for it in a written form, which was then sent to the organisation ‘Thirsty? Choose Water!’ along with our stop motion video, and promotion ideas. 

Central Coast Local Health District said Henry Kendall High School “were unanimously the clear winners in the comp.” 

We would like to thank Central Coast Local Health District for this opportunity and we cannot wait for our new chilled water station to be installed.
