'St. Anthony’s adopts a holistic and collaborative approach to education that engages students to drive their learning based on their individual needs and preferences.'

The Art Room has whole heartedly welcomed back our students after this long time of distance learning. It has been wonderful to be working with everyone again! In these few short weeks, students have quickly returned to the rhythm of life and not lost any of their creativity, talent or skills. They have quickly remembered protocols and have an even bigger bounce then normal, in their step for Art!

Students have been making some lovely presents for themselves in this short term as well as showing gratitude by making cards and presents for special people who have helped them through the distance learning period.

Foundation students have been discussing the gardens and bridges of artist Clause Monet. They did a 'Butterfly' print of the reflections of the bridge onto the water using paint, then made a water lily using paper plates and tissue papers. Students learned about warm colours and cool colours in this activity.

In Level 3/4 students made themselves a lovely and special Charm Bracelet, using 'Shrink-Me-Plastic' and then beading cords to create a personal wearable piece of artwork that holds special meaning to them.
