Message from the Principal

'At our very heart is the desire for each individual student to flourish across academic, physical, cognitive, emotional, social and spiritual domains. We support students to grow in virtue and to embrace a view of themselves and the world that leads to peace, justice, and the prosperity of society as a whole. Ours is a journey towards hope and optimism that is enlightened by faith and animated by love.'

Blessings and best wishes for good health as you enter a well deserved holiday break

Time to grow
Time to grow

Amidst all of the chaos and the changes that we have all adapted to over the past 12 weeks, I am reminded in this last week of school about how much time we have had to grow and learn at such an accelerated rate.

Just like the lovely hand made grassy seed heads created in our Prep space this week, we too are growing  - some steadily, some rapidly. With the right nourishment and attention, with the right love and care, we grow and we change and we adapt, all differently and at different times, and we are better for it!

Changes and adaptions are all part of this life and we have proven over the weeks that  changes can bring about wonderful discoveries.

Our little people have shown us through their adaptability, resilience and courage, that in the right environment, changes are OK. Our parents have shown us that by providing the right environment and nurturing and great love that changes can be navigated through successfully. Our teachers and support staff have shown us just how capable and professional they are from working in a constantly changing environment everyday.

Our schools are constantly in cycles of change. We are very used to changes. It is what helps us improve and grow. Being agents of change is the task of education today. We need to be continuously adapting and changing to the needs of our community and the needs of our children and the changing world in which we live.

So, I commend every person who has flourished through change as we finish up what has been a tremendous opportunity to test our strength and adaptability, our courage and our determination to discover great things during the greatest time of change that we have lived through to date.

We are ready for anything now. Ready for action, ready to embrace the challenges of Term 3 and beyond! Ready to grow. Congratulations St Anthony's.

We are so excited to have welcomed well over 40 pre-preps so far into our school over the Term 2 period despite COVID restrictions. These young people and their families are preparing to start their formal school journey with us in 2021. They are beginning one of their biggest changes. We are so thrilled that our 4 year old's from Alfred St have transitioned so smoothly to the interview stage of enrolment to 'Big School'!

Everyone is welcome
Everyone is welcome

I wish you a calm and peaceful holiday break with your beautiful children and time to step away from the learning programs that have dominated Term 2.  Just be with your children and enjoy every moment.

As always go gently and if you have any feedback or ideas we always want to hear them.

God Bless,

Patrika Rowley
