SENIOR SCHOOL

Welcome Back!

After a challenging couple of months for all of us I look forward to welcoming back our year 11 and 12 students on Tuesday 26th May. After all the TEAMS and ZOOM sessions, the completion and uploading of work onto COMPASS, working in isolation from your own homes, completing assessments online and the myriad of the other remote learning experiences, I am sure you are looking forward to returning to the face -to -face learning environment of your school classrooms – I know your teachers are very excited! And it will be a joy to be able to talk to friends in person once again.

It was a real pleasure to see many Year 12 students a few weeks ago as they came to school to collect their Year 12 jackets from me. Thanks to Ms. Behrendt for all her efforts in arranging the distribution. Ms. Behrendt, Mr Singh and myself look forward to seeing you all smartly dressed in your jackets (and winter school uniform) on Tuesday – perhaps we will even wear ours especially for the occasion! And we may have a few other surprises for you.

I am also pleased to be able to inform you that VCAA and VTAC have announced the dates for Year 12 examinations in 2020 and confirmed that all results, VCE certificates and ATARs will be available in December.

The final detailed examination schedule will be released by VCAA before the end of Term 2.

VTAC will shortly announce further dates for year 12 students, including change of preference deadlines and offer release dates.

In another two weeks we will be able to welcome back the remainder of our senior school; year 10 students. In the meantime it is important for all Year 10 students to continue to engage in their remote learning.

So, to all of you, enjoy the next four days spending some time away from schoolwork!
