School readiness test
The School readiness test is a practice run for all NSW schools with students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9.
The school readiness test is designed to help schools assess their technical and administrative readiness in a ‘dress rehearsal’ activity. It will also allow students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 become more familiar with the NAPLAN Online test format.
The school readiness test will give schools the opportunity to prepare and practice for NAPLAN Online. During this time, a NESA helpdesk will be available to assist NAPLAN coordinators and test administrators.
Information packages and a school readiness test handbook will be provided to schools so that staff and students are prepared for the change.
Henry Kendall will be completing the School Readiness Test on the 28th August 2017.
Year 7 will complete the test during periods 1 & 2 and Year 9 will complete the test during periods 4 & 5.
For further information we urge parents to log onto the NAPLAN Parent Information site, listed below.
Stage Four: Review of the transition process
This stage involves school and system readiness to inform planning for 2018.
Once the school readiness test is complete, NESA will review all information generated from the test, which will assist with determining the most suitable time for schools to move to NAPLAN Online.
