Year 12 Trial HSC

Year 12 are now in their trial HSC examination period. Thank you to parents for your ongoing support – as we are aware this is a stress full time for students.

 

Stress management for students is important in helping them finish the HSC journey. Please refer to the links below for some practical and useful tips in helping your child at this time:

Year 11

Year 11 are currently completing their Preliminary courses in readiness for their pathway to the HSC starting Term 4. A reminder of key dates for Year 11:

  • Preliminary Examinations: Tuesday 12  September to Friday 22 September
  • Year 11 into 12 interviews: Tuesday 10  October.

Further information will be issued this term in regards to these key events.

Stage 6 Prep Program- Year 10

This program is an important part of the schools commitment to preparing students for the transition to senior pathways next year.

 

A note was issued to Year 10 parents at the Senior Pathways Information Evening in regards to implementation of this program starting Week 7 Term 4. Additional notes are available on the school website and the front office.

 

Friday 11 August students will be issued the elective choices for the program and will be instructed to select them on line. All costs for electives are included in the upfront payment.

 

Please be reminded the $60 deposit for this course was due to the front office by Friday 28 July. Full course payment of $110  is required by Friday 16 September.

Year 8 into 9 Elective Choices

Thank you to parents and students for your attendance at the Elective Information Evening for Year 8 last week. Students have certainly been following up with staff in respect to questions about specific subjects and their choices for next year. Students are currently being asked to enter their choices on line as soon as possible.

Uniform

Thank you to parents for your continued support of the schools uniform policy. In the winter months please be mindful of the following:

  • Hooded jumpers are not uniform
  • Blue jumpers for juniors. Black is not to be worn.
  • Black tights are acceptable to be worn with the girls skirts - NO TRACKSUIT PANTS ARE TO BE WORN.
  • Tracksuit pants from Lowes are available to be worn for sports days
  • Black socks are not acceptable- white socks are the standard uniform.

All uniform items are available from Lowes Gosford, and can be ordered online.

Year 11 2018 School Jackets

Planning for Year 11 2018 Senior Jacket is underway.  The $50 deposit is payable at the front office ASAP. The students will be able to size their jacket once the deposit has been paid.

 

After meeting with Lowes last week, the school is planning to have the student jackets available by the end of Term 1, 2018. Prompt response in ordering will support this process.
