Teaching and Learning
The first Senior Campus Parent/Teacher/Student meetings for the year, as previously notified in calendars, will be held for Years 6 – 12 in the afternoon and evening of Tuesday 18th of April commencing at 2.30pm and concluding at 8.30pm in the Middle Years Positive Education Centre (MYPEC). The increased amount of time slots available will allow greater access for the parents of Boarders and working parents. Please note that we expect that students will attend these interviews with their parents.
Teachers who wish to see parents to discuss the progress of their children will provide notification of a time set aside through the student Record Book. In addition, parents are invited to make a booking to see teachers. Bookings can be made on-line through the Parent Access Module (PAM). Please book the earliest time-slot you are able to attend, to allow parents travelling from a distance to utilise the later slots. The booking site will be opened for bookings on Thursday 30th of March and will close at 5.00pm on Monday 17th of April. Parents can respond to, and amend if necessary, the bookings made by teachers through PAM also.
Mr Neil MacLean, Ms Pei Tseng, Mrs Jane Bromley (all in China with the Year 9s), Ms Helen Reiher, Ms Kristen Waldron and Ms Louise Williams (all on Leave) will be unavailable for meetings on this day.
This workshop equips parents with a number of practical tips to provide effective support for their child’s study programme at home. Topics covered will include; creating the ideal study environment, the role of technology, maximising concentration and core study skills.
This is a free session available to all parents and will be held in the Simons Auditorium on Tuesday 18th April – 5.15pm to 6.00pm (coinciding with the evening of the Parent/Teacher/Students Meetings).
