Congratulations to Lily Jenkins (Year 9) who was recently awarded the Australian Scouting Medal.

To attain this prestigious award, Lily has invested time, determination, initiative and effort over a number of years in Scouting.  Progressing through the junior ranks and on to become a leader within her troop,  Lily has enjoyed her scouting career and benefited greatly from the experience. She is now a Venturer in the 4th Brunswick Venturer Unit and has participated in the BSC Bushwhacked program this year, sharing and building on her  skills alongside other BSC students.

In earning the Australian Scouting Medal, Lily has joined an elite group of scouts  who have met the most stringent of criteria, having mastered scoutcraft and leadership skills to the highest level.   Only a very small percentage of scouts are recognised as top acheivers - and considering that Scouting boasts 47 million members globally,  Lily's achievement should rightly be recognised and celebrated.
