Student Leaders 2017
Firstly, I would like to extend huge congratulations to the students that have successfully gained positions as school leaders. I am sure that our new School Captains for 2016/17, Owen Butterworth and Teneille Jacobson will represent the school in an exemplary manner.
They will be ably supported by our new Vice Captains, Rohan Barsing and Olivia Hull, as well as our new Prefects, Seohyun Inn, Alicia Kostalas and Peta Ralph.
Congratulations to the following students elected to the role of House Captain – Jessica Davies & Jordan Bull (Araluen), Nikki Fraser & Tyler Gunn (Corumben), Jade McAtamney & Lleyton Parker (Narara), Bradley Wood and Danielle Shepherd (Warrigal) and Sarah Robinson (Special Education). The SRC Investiture will take place on 7 September at 10am in the MPC.

Congratulations Oscar Tebbutt!
Wow - Oscar won the Boys Under 16yrs 5km race walk at the Australian Racewalking Championships held in Canberra on Sunday 21 August.

GCLC Mid Year Celebration Assembly
The Gosford City Learning Community comes together each year to celebrate achievements by students and staff. The celebration was held on 1 August and attended by Henry Kendall High School, Gosford High School, Gosford Public School and Point Clare Public School. Congratulations to those who received awards from their respective schools.

Year 11 News
Firstly, I would like to extend huge congratulations to the Year 11 students that have successfully gained positions as school leaders.
Last week I had the pleasure of attending the Max Potential Showcase at Gosford RSL. Alicia Kostalas successfully completed this leadership course over the past few months and it culminated in this very positive function where she was able to highlight her major project – the Meeting of the Kendalls. Well done Alicia for ‘persevering’ with this valuable experience.
A few weeks ago students were notified about an overnight camp due to take place from 19 - 20 October, Term 4. The Crossroads program is a compulsory program throughout NSW high schools. It is expected that students attend the camp, or complete an arduous essay over the same two days. The first payment of $75.00 is due Friday 26 August.
I would like to promote the following evening and encourage all parents and caregivers to make the time to attend this informative, free night:
