Year 8 Art

Our Year 8 Artists have been working super productively in class to make some very creative artworks. Recently they completed their first assessment task, using ink and pen to draw their own creative designs on the theme of Steampunk or caricature. Some stand-out examples of this were completed by Holly Burgess, Allie Webber and Rhiannon Kelly, who demonstrated skilful use of the materials and creativity in their designs. Students have also been exploring paper cuts to develop their understanding of how to use positive and negative space effectively in an artwork. This will hopefully prepare them for printmaking and stencilling in the coming weeks.

Life Drawing

Our VCE Studio Arts students were given the opportunity to attend a life drawing session on Tuesday  evening 18th August run here at the school. A number of staff also came along to join in the creativity.

As a bit of a surprise, we actually had TWO models on the evening - Roxanne and her little doggy Bilbo. There were a number of different poses, captured through some awesome drawings and in a variety of media. Thanks to everyone who came along!
