Senior School - Year 10 to 12

Update from Ms Elly Stewart

I would like to acknowledge the resilience and engagement shown by the Year 12s this term. I’ve heard lots of encouraging feedback from teachers about the way students are approaching their studies, and I want to congratulate them for taking this ‘road bump’ in their stride as best as possible.  We will continue to deliver up-to-date information from VCAA regarding assessments and exams as they come to us.

A really positive outcome was the delivery of the Year 12 jackets this week, and I’m very happy that we have been able to create a safe system for the jackets to slowly be distributed to students. I want to thank the students for their patience in the handing out of the jackets and for adhering to the social distancing rules so well!

As staff of DSC, we are behind the Year 12 students 100% and will continue to do what can to support them during this difficult time. We are hoping to run a virtual Year 12 assembly soon – watch this space!

Senior School Remote Learning

Wrap Up

Our Senior School students have adapted to learning remotely remarkably well, and I would like to commend them on the maturity they have shown.

As we settle into our new found rhythm of work, I’d like to encourage all senior students to stay focused. If you follow your timetable and put 100% into the work set by your teachers, you'll still achieve great things this term.

I would also like to thank all parents for the hard work they are putting in at home supporting their children with their learning. The incredible degree of engagement from the students is a reflection of just how much support parents at Doncaster provide.

Our school is focused on supporting students as much as possible. If you or your child feel the need for additional support, please don’t hesitate to contact their DiSCovery teacher.
