Do you know that we are 'Rescue Ready' if someone suffers a Sudden Cardiac Arrest?

  • We have a defibrillator (located outside the First Aid Room).
  • Staff know how to use the defibrillator
  • Staff know the Chain of Survival.
  • Staff are CPR trained.

Did you know that a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is a condition where the heart stops - often without warning? If not treated in minutes, death is unpreventable.

Did you know that an SCA does not discriminate? It can affect anyone at any time, of any age or fitness level.

Did you know that your only chance of surviving an SCA is with the urgent use of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED)?

A defibrillator is as critical as a fire extinguisher and the only thing that re-starts a heart.

Do you know that our Year 6 Flag Monitors raise and lower our Australian National flag each school day?

Our flagpole is located at the front of the school outside Mrs Duffy's Office and our Flag Monitors, Natasha C (6D) and Ben H (6C), are responsible for ensuring that the protocols for flying and using the flag are observed which includes:

  • The flag should be treated with the respect and dignity it deserves as the nation’s most important national symbol.
  • The flag should always be flown freely and as close as possible to the top of the flagpole with the rope tightly secured
  • The flag should not be flown upside down, even as a signal of distress.
  • The flag should not be allowed to fall or lie on the ground.
