Changes to Presentation Night 2020

We have held off making a decision about Presentation Night for as long as possible, in the hope that we would be able to come together as a full community (students, staff AND parents) once again. Despite the positive trend in Victoria regarding COVID-19, the latest Operations Guide released by the Department of Education and Training this week confirmed that parents and other external visitors still cannot attend school. However, face-to-face year level assemblies can occur for staff and students, so we have decided to hold an End of Year Assembly for Years 7-11 instead.

How will it work?

Year Level Leaders have arranged for their End of Year Assembly to occur sometime in Week 9 (30th November) or Week 10 (7th December). Students who are receiving an award will be notified by email. As per usual practice, they won’t know which award they are receiving. They will be asked to sit up the front of the assembly and when their name is called out, they will come up the front and receive their award in a COVID-safe way, to be applauded by all their peers.

How can I watch the End of Year Assemblies?

The assembly will be filmed and a copy of the presentation will be made available to parents and dignitaries after the event. We hope to have all presentations available on Wednesday 9th December, to watch at a time that is convenient to you.

Kind regards,

Rachel Robertson

(Assistant Principal Years 7 and 8)
