Whilst our Year 7 and 8 students continue their cookery journey by making Chicken & Avocado Wraps and Classic Beef Burgers, our Year 10 students embark on their term learning about food for special needs. So far, they have learnt how to cater various types of dietary needs by making Dairy Free Chocolate Custard, Paleo Peri Peri Chicken with Sweet Potato Chips and Vegan Carrot Cupcakes.

 

Year 12 VET Hospitality 

Whether it's using the power of the blender to mix up a thirst-quenching summer drink, or using their own strength with shaking the cocktail shaker to pour up a delicate mocktail, our Year 12 VET Hospitality students have been extremely busy undertaking training in various non-alcoholic beverage recipes. Last week, they had the opportunity to show off their skills to our school staff community by preparing and serving 70 drinks via a tray service. Feedback from staff has been absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to see all the upcoming service periods we have scheduled - next time round we will be serving hundreds of beverages to students and staff.
