Prayer

This Friday the College is holding our National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence, along with celebrating Harmony Day.  We will be holding an Assembly in recognition of both of these events.  The powerful prayer below encompasses both of these extremely important events both within the College and the wider community.  We also continue to pray for those affected by the flooding in Australia and the war in Ukraine.

Visit from Mr Paul Fletcher MP

The College was pleased to host a visit on Monday morning from Mr Paul Fletcher MP, the Minister for Communications, Urban Infrastructure, Cities and the Arts, Member for Bradfield and our local Member of Parliament.

Mr Fletcher held a seminar with our Year 12 Economics Class before addressing our morning assembly.

Year 6 then spent time learning more about the Australian Government and Parliament from Mr Fletcher in the Junior Resource Centre.

Year 5 and 6 Bible Liturgy

Yesterday our Year 5 and 6 students held a Bible Liturgy in Our Lady of Dolours Church. We thank Fr Marek Woldan who held the liturgy where all our new Year 5 and 6 students received a Bible.  We also thank one of our Year 6 teachers, Mr Chris Ure, who spoke about what a special time it was when he received his first bible.   Students then received a special blessing from Fr Marek.

Conclusion of Summer Sports

This weekend sees the conclusion of most of our Summer Sports, which run during Term 4 and Term 1.  I would like to thank all our Summer Sport convenors and coaches who have put in a wonderful effort over the past two terms.  I would also like to sincerely thank Mr Stearn and Mr Carroll, our Senior and Junior Sports Masters for their organisation of the cocurricular sports, especially with many changes over the past six months with COVID-19 protocols and during this past month with the difficult weather we have experienced.
