Christian Life

“How could I ever know God? I don’t even know what’s happening in my next class!”

Sometimes God feels so big and distant, students may think that they can’t really know Him and that He doesn’t really know them. But that’s not what we see happening in the Bible. Like the father in the story of the lost son, God wants to wrap His arms around us and make us part of His family.

One of our aims in Secondary school Christian Life classes this term is to continue to share truth from the Bible that shows students they are known by God. We continue to place an emphasis on students learning about and exploring a personal Christian faith and what it means to be a Christian in the modern world.

Each week, we encourage students to connect, explore and act on the Biblical truths we are teaching. This term we will dig into spiritual growth opportunities, character development and life skills through lessons on who God is, God’s authority, and the power of our words.

If you had been the father in the parable of the lost son, how do you think you would have reacted to your child coming home? Why? Ask your teen this question or try connecting on these questions:

  • How would it feel to trust Jesus as much as sheep trust their shepherd?
  • What can we do to hear more clearly from the Holy Spirit?

Please continue to pray with us and for us as we grow in Christ, strive for excellence and influence the world
