It’s wonderful to be back and fully into the school program for 2023. 

I warmly welcome our Year 9 and 10 students and families to a new school year! 2023 will be filled with opportunities for students to build on their skills from last year academically. They can also participate in a rich suite of extra curricular activities that we offer at the college.

Our Year 9 and 10 students started the year with a Return to School Program that focused on some key themes for our students on their first day. Themes included the high expectations we have for our students in conduct and uniform, goal setting, relationships and identity. 

The majority of students have returned with full school uniform and are looking very smart. We will regularly conduct uniform checks to ensure that students are wearing their uniform with pride. Casual items of clothing are not allowed to be worn. Our uniform policy is on the LSC website for your reference. 

Now in week 4 and well into our standard program, we will be checking that our students have the required resources. This is to ensure that students have the ability to be ready to learn and participate fully in all of their classes. Teachers will be communicating via compass if students are not prepared for class.
