Welcome back

The library has been abuzz with excited students from all years as they explore the collection and take books home, some for the first time. 

During Term 1 the library is open at lunchtime as follows:

Tuesday:            Prep/1 (2 books)

Wednesday:      2/3       (4 books)

Thursday:          4/5/6   (6 books)

In addition classes attend once every two weeks. 

Our library leaders this year are Tolly, Maya and Berk and their help at lunch time is invaluable.

Thanks are also due to the new parent book coverers who are coping well with the recent glut of new books.

Spanish Picture Books

The library has a number of new Spanish Picture Books for you to borrow. Please encourage your children to borrow them to read at home by you or them.

Story Box Library

Story Box Library is a subscription based educational website, created for children to view stories by local authors and illustrators, being read aloud by fantastic, predominantly Australian and New Zealand, storytellers.

The Newlands Community can access Story Box Library again this year.

Book Care

Unfortunately, we have had some damaged books returned already this year. These have been taken out the back and humanely disposed of.  It would be much appreciated if you could ensure your child looks after the books they borrow and if they have a book bag to use it. Books, like everything else, are not not getting any cheaper.
