We wish her the very best in her new school and all the best of the luck for the future! May Ella continue to dance, act and perform, as that is her passion! Well done for all your dedicated work in Performing Arts these last few years! You've been amazing and will continue to be! :)

I will be sending out a message regarding the total payment to be made via Sentral. Please wait for my message with instructions coming by next week.

Performing Arts off to an exciting start!

F/1: The unit of focus for this term is 'Personal, Social and Community Health'. We will be exploring that through Drama, role play and mime. We will be focusing on Wellbeing and how to express our emotions in a healthy way. All students have really enjoyed warming up their bodies with fun Encanto dances, helping them warm up and be ready for their lesson. We also discussed our school values, 'Care, Responsibility, Curiosity and Creativity'. F/1s focused on one of the values in small groups and role played how to demonstrate that value in Performing Arts. All groups shared their given value, e.g. 'Care' and what that could look like in Performing Arts to the class. Check out our excitement!

2/3: The unit of focus for this term is 'Personal, Social and Community Health'. We will be exploring that through Drama, role play of values and showing ethical capability. We will be focusing on our mental health, as well as our physical health and how to maintain healthy relationships and daily routines. Everyone has had a great time dancing to our favourite songs, 'Cupid shuffle' as a warm up. We also discussed our school values, 'Care, Responsibility, Curiosity and Creativity'. Students focused on one of the values in small groups and created posters describing how to show that value at our school and in Performing Arts. Students also got a chance to role play how to demonstrate that value in Performing Arts. All groups shared their given value, e.g. 'Care' and what that could look like in Performing Arts to the class.

4/5/6: The unit of focus for this term is 'Personal, Social and Community Health'. We will be exploring that through Drama, role play of values, including persuasive speeches such as in adverts. We will be focusing on our mental health, as well as our physical health and hygiene. We will be focusing maintaining healthy relationships and healthy habits in our daily routines. Everyone really enjoyed dancing dancing and doing some Drama games as a warm up, such as 'Character bus'. This is where all students have to mimic someone's emotions, e.g. 'sadness', 'happiness' as they each get on their bus. We also discussed our school values, 'Care, Responsibility, Curiosity and Creativity'. Everyone focused on one of the values in small groups and created posters describing how to show that value at our school and in Performing Arts.

Students discussed what good healthy habits are and good hygiene. We watched some videos of health and hygiene in Spanish, which showed physical, mental health and healthy hygiene. It all came down to good healthy habits in our daily routine. Students were in small groups and chosen an aspect of health or hygiene. They explored role playing an advert to show case and promote that health part with healthy habits included. Check out our improvisations so far!
