Year 5 Light Incursion

The grade 5 students were able to experience the wonderful incursion provided by Hands on Science.  The key learning intentions were to draw simple labelled ray diagrams to show the paths of light from a source to our eyes, explore the use of mirrors to demonstrate the reflection of light, classifying materials as transparent, translucent or opaque and recognise the refraction of light at the surface of different materials, such as when light travels through water. All the children were engaged and as usual, wonderfully interested and enthusiastic in their learning.

Well done grade 5!!
