SPECIAL THANKS

I would like to acknowledge the shared efforts of our PFA and our community making our Easter Raffle on the last day of term 1 such a special occasion. With 100 wonderful prizes there were lots of smiles as many families were lucky enough to win and as always there were many cheers from the crowd. Special thanks to Lizzy’s Chocolates for their enormous generosity in donating the large, delicious egg that was first prize.

SAVE THE DATE - TERM 2 WORKING BEE

We have scheduled a Working Bee for Saturday 1st May from 10 till 12pm. A notice has been sent home via Compass. It has been many months since this was last possible and we do hope there will be a lovely turn up. If you are able to assist on this day please pop this date in your diary.

STAFFING UPDATE

We warmly welcomed three new staff to CPS as term two commenced. Allison Fisher has joined our Year 1 team as Dominique Oosterbaan takes a period of leave. Natalie Jones has joined the Year 2 team teaching 2D for the remainder of the year. Ingrid Jones will be our 0.4 music teacher replacing Sarah Lockett who welcomed her second child. Janette Taylor has returned from leave in a 0.5 capacity to assist with the DET 2021 Tutoring Initiative. Janette is already well known to many of you at CPS.

LOVELY NEWS TO SHARE

It is with much pleasure that we congratulate Joel Pollard and Rebecca Batten on their wedding which was held with their families over the holiday break. They are two very special people and we wish them every happiness together now and in the future.

Sarah Lockett and her partner, Andrew welcomed the safe arrival of a beautiful baby boy, William a few weeks ago. We eagerly await a visit from Sarah to CPS in the not too distant future.

Amy Travers and her partner are expecting their second child later in the year. We wish them every happiness and know Zavier will love being a big brother when the time comes.

COFFEE & CHAT INVITE

We promote an ‘Open Door’ approach at CPS and as term 2 commences I thought it may be nice to once again offer a ‘Coffee and Chat’ opportunity to parents on Monday, 10th May after our morning assembly. At this time I am available to answer general questions, further discus our school programs and practices, our goals and priorities and our hopes for the future.
