From the Principal

It has been an amazing Term and we have been fortunate to enjoy such a positive start to the year. The children have been involved in lots of learning and events throughout Term 1. It has been great to see their smiles and enthusiasm when walking through the learning spaces.  A very BIG thank you to all the staff, children and parents for all that we have achieved this term. We also thank the Parents and Friends for all the events they have organised this term for our students and community (fun lunch, morning teas, Easter Raffle, Hot cross buns, Colour Run etc.).  We wish all our families a wonderful break, a Happy Easter and a safe holiday.

We welcome everyone back on Monday 19th April for the commencement of Term 2. All students will need to wear their full WINTER UNIFORM (There will be a two week transition from summer to winter uniform).

HOLY WEEK LITURGIES

The children have partaken in Holy Week Liturgies across this week.  It was amazing to see children perform and sing and come together to celebrate this important event in our Catholic Church and faith.  The videos have been posted below for parents and students to watch as a family.  Hope you enjoy the videos and the re-enactment of Holy Week by the students at SFS.

PARENT/TEACHER INTERVIEWS

Parent/Teacher interviews took place on Wednesday.  This was a great opportunity for teachers, students and parents to meet and discuss student's learning and celebrate their growth and achievements. Reading videos have also been sent to Juniors and Seniors via Operoo. The videos provide parents with helpful hints and strategies to help them support their children with reading at home.  Resources were also given to parents at parent/teacher interviews.

CROSS COUNTRY/COLOUR RUN

On Thursday the children participated in Cross Country and the Colour Run.  It was a wonderful way to finish the term with a bit of competition and fun. We thank Giuliana and Luilli for the successful organisation of this event. We also thank the Parents and Friends for organising the Colour Run and supporting our school events. Please see Learning and Teaching Section of the Newsletter for photos and results.
