Footsteps Dance Presentation

This Friday 26th March we will be holding our Footsteps Dance Presentation commencing at 2:30pm in the main playground.

This will be an opportunity for our children to showcase their dance skills as developed through our dance program over the term.

Holy Week Celebrations: The Passion Story

Next Wednesday 31st March we will celebrate Holy Week. Our Year 5/6 students will act out the significant events of Holy Week at various locations around the school. Each class will visit each scene to complete the story. 

Families are welcome to join their child however we ask that a prayerful silence is observed during the liturgy. If you wish to follow the Holy Week story with your child’s class the approximate commencement times are:

11:45:                        Year Prep LV

11:50:                        Year Prep NV

11:55:                        Year 1/2B

12:00:                        Year 1/2C

12:05:                        Year 1/2R

12:10:                        Year 3K

12:15:                        Year 3S

12:20:                        Year 4W

The first scene, Palm Sunday, will take place near the statue in the Ormond Road playground.  Families attending are asked to register via the link or QR code below.

School Photos

School photos will be taken on Thursday 22nd April in the first week back of Term 2. Order forms will be handed out today.

ORDERS CAN ONLY BE MADE ONLINE.

Do not return the order form to the school.

To order, simply go to www.schoolpix.com.au. enter your personal Order and ID Numbers (found on your order form) and follow the prompts.

Photos will be sent to the school for us to distribute. Orders placed after 26th April will receive a flat shipping rate of $7.95.

Sibling photos will also be offered. Details as to how to order can be found on your Order Form.

All orders placed online (up until midnight the night before) will receive a free 20cm x 25cm black and white print with bookmark.

On photo day, children are to wear the correct Summer Uniform. The Summer Uniform is:

Boys: Blue short sleeve shirt, grey shorts, grey socks, black shoes

Girls: Summer dress, white socks, black shoes (stockings/tights are not to be worn)

Jumpers may be worn throughout the day yet will be removed for the photos. The Student Leaders, Sports Leaders and Social  Justice Leaders need to wear their badges for photos.

As per our policy, long hair is to be tied back using blue/black or white hair accessories!

Photos commence at 9:00am sharp so please have children at school on time and presented neatly.

We understand that on this day some classes have PE. Children can bring a pair of runners to change into later if they choose.

Ride 2 School Day

Thank you to Mrs Brittney Wohling and all children and families who joined in on National Ride2School Day last Friday.

It was wonderful to see the tribe of Corpus Christi School families riding, walking or scootering into school and having fun along the way. Well done to everyone. 

Guess who got Engaged

Congratulations to Miss Chantel Borg on her engagement to her partner Aaron. Exciting times ahead!

Easter Raffle 

Make sure you get your raffle tickets in for our Easter Rafffle! The barrels are filling rapidly so don't miss out on your chance to win a prize.  Tickets are $1.00 each. Raffle money needs to be returned to the office by Wednesday 31st  March. If you have a cane basket (or the like) to package our Easter egg prizes, please also drop them off at the office. 

Easter Egg Donation

In order to create the prizes for the Easter Egg Raffle, we are having an Easter egg donation day this coming Monday 29th March.  On this day we ask that each family send in an Easter Egg/Bunny so that we can package them into prizes for the raffle. Donations are to be placed on the tables in the Community Hall upon arrival at school.

Easter Egg Wrapping Morning

We will be holding an Easter Egg wrapping morning (to wrap all our raffle prizes)  straight after assembly on Monday. If you are able to help, please make your way up to the hall after assembly. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Years 1-6 Learning Conferences

A reminder that Learning Conferences for Year 1 to 6  students have been scheduled for:

Wednesday 31st March, 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Please note that all children in Prep to Year 6 will be dismissed at 1:00 pm that day.

These conferences will be held face-to-face. 

Families are to use School Interviews Online to manage bookings. Please go to www.schoolinterviews.com.au and enter the event code of:   decqv to book interviews for the times that suit your family.

End of Term

A reminder that all students will finish at 1:00pm on  Thursday 1st April... the Last day of Term 1. 

Farewell 

At the end of this term we bid farewell to Mrs Danielle Camerota as she commences leave in preparation for the birth of her third child. Danielle will finish up on Wednesday and we thank her for her wonderful work at school and wish her well leading up to birth. We will keep you posted.

School Closure Day

Please note in your diaries our next School Closure Day: Staff Professional Development Day which is scheduled for Friday 28th May.
