VOLLEYBALL 

Last week we had the privilege of taking not 1, but 4 teams to the SSV Volleyball State Finals.

 

Prior to the finals, 15 matches were played against different schools where they needed to go undefeated to make it through. 

 

We are excited to announce the success of these teams and the individual athletes below:

 

Senior Girls, SSV Semi Finalists - 3rd in the State

Amy Van Der Linden, Ash Hart, Minja Zlatic, Holly Spencer, Steph Baker, Isabel Asmaryan, Katie Crane and Amber Lotzof

Intermediate Boys, SSV Runners Up - 2nd in the State

Intermediate Girls, SSV State Champions 

Kyla Peel, Hannah Foran, Sofia Atchison, Jess Hart, Matilda Brown, Tali Rudzki, Chloe Parker Apps, Charli Guss, Zara Salisbury, Kate McGlone, Molly Forehan and Aspen Lehmann

Sam Kay, Will Kay, Tom Howells, Ron Shamrak, Roie Greenberg, Finlay Brown, Matthew Lusted, Christian Lignos, Leon Alao and Max Chilco-Burns

It's also worth noting, our Intermediate teams consisted of majority Year 9 athletes and our Senior teams consisted of majority Year 11 athletes whom will both be able to play and represent the school in the exact same divisions next year.

KINGSTON CROSS COUNTRY

On Wednesday 19 May 90 McKinnon students represented the school at Karkarook Park as part of the Kingston Cross Country event. 

 

McKinnon once again had a successful day winning both individual and team events, with many podium finishes.

43 students have qualified for the Southern Metro Region Cross Country to be held on Monday 21 June at Cruden Farm, Langwarrin.

SENIOR ROUND ROBIN

On Thursday 13 May the Kingston Term 2 Senior Round Robin took place at a variety of venues across South East Melbourne.

 

Congratulations to the Girls Badminton, Boys Soccer and Boys Football teams who won through to the Southern Metro Finals in Term 3.

 

Thanks to all the players for representing the school on the day and the coaches for giving up their time.
