Maths at home

Over the next few weeks we will cover what students should do to assist their Mathematical learning at home and in class.

When should student revise?

Each day students have a Maths class we recommend to spend at least 15 minutes at home to revise over the main concepts covered in class. This is achieved by reading over notes and examples covered in class. Students can read notes and examples they have copied from class and also refer to the subchapter they are learning in their e-book. In our Cambridge texts each subchapter ‘Section’ has a ‘KEY IDEAS’ section where the main concepts are summarised. There are also worked examples including video examples. If students are still struggling to grasp these ideas they should seek further clarification the following lesson to grow their mathematical ability.
