School Council News

Upcoming School Council Meeting – Wednesday February 17th

 

Welcome back everyone.  I hope that you are all enjoying the start of the term and the new school year!! 

  • We are very fortunate at CHPS as the input and involvement of parents is always encouraged, appreciated and considered by the Principal team and CHPS staff. 
  • If you would like to contribute to the school’s ongoing improvement and are considering nominating yourself for School Council this year, please keep an eye out for the nomination forms and any updates from Christian. 

What is required of School Council members:

  • The School Council term begins in March with each member standing for a two-year term. 
  • School Council is made up of eight elected parents, four staff members and the Principal, with the option of two additional co-opted positions. 
  • We meet twice a term on Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm, with a commitment to involve yourself in one of the following sub committees (that typically meet once or twice a term):
    • Finance
    • Education
    • Facilities and the Learning Environment
    • Publicity and Community Involvement 
    • Uniform
    • Canteen
    • OSHC and Vacation Care
