Classroom Helper Training

We are thrilled to be able to welcome parents into our classrooms to assist students with their learning. Next Thursday, February 18th Learning Specialist, Paul Brock and I will be running a Classroom Helper training session at school.  The training will specifically focus on how to help children with their reading.  If you are available to support our classroom programs throughout the year, we would love to see you there.  Please complete this form if you are planning to attend: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd_BXO0uVcetsbT1fBJjX8rnhSo3VnP6gR5dQ4wEg0pagl1MQ/viewform

Please also be aware that all adults helping at school for any reason need to provide the Office with evidence of a current Working With Children Check.

Getting to Know You Interviews

On Wednesday, February 24th parents of students in Years 1-6 are invited to meet with your child’s classroom teacher at the Getting to Know You Interviews. These meetings are a chance for teachers get to know you, your child and family at the start of the year and be aware of anything that may influence their school life and learning. Bookings will open on Monday via Compass.  If you would prefer to have a phone conversation or video conference please contact your child’s teacher to arrange this.

Student Behaviour Code

All families should receive a hard copy of the CHPS Student Behaviour Code, coming home today with your youngest child.  Responsible and respectful behaviour is a keystone of student safety and wellbeing at school.  Please take the time to read through this booklet with your children and discuss our expectations with them.  This will be reinforced by classroom teachers during the coming week and enforced by all staff during school hours.
