SSV Holt Swimming Carnival Oakleigh Pool  2021

Hi Everyone,

On Friday 19th February St Agnes competed in the SSV Swimming Carnival against ten other schools in the Holt District at Oakleigh Pool.  The swim team was comprised of 25

St Agnes students ranging from Years 3 to 6.

St Agnes competed in medley relays, freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly and in freestyle relays.

In the 30 degree heat the St Agnes swim team worked together, cheered on each other and all did their very best.  The results were outstanding this year.  St Agnes finished 2nd overall and 2nd in the percentage trophy, which is based on the number of swimming results and size of the swim team.  Congratulations to St James for winning the overall trophy this year and St Josephs Black Rock for winning the percentage trophy.

I would like to say a big thank you to the teachers who helped out and came to support the students on the day, also for all those early morning trial sessions that were attended by parents and teachers.  Most of all I thank the swim team for doing an amazing job in the pool representing St Agnes, parents, teachers and myself are all very proud of you.

As soon as results are posted for the beachside next level competition on 5th March at Oakleigh pool, I will let those students involved know, fingers crossed!

Again, thank you to all students involved, you are an amazing group of ambassadors for the school.
