Families and Friends
Promoting the welfare of, and providing support to, the SMPS community...
π The SMPS Fan group is made up of one SMPS teacher as our liaison officer, Miss Jess, and parents, carers and friends of SMPS students.Β
π We would love you to join us! We need to help each other organise events, and we need to share our ideas and knowledge to grow our community and raise funds for the school, all while having fun getting to know each other better. Everyone can add some value, so come on: join us!
π We hold monthly meetings, (currently online), to discuss and organise our events.
Β
π Please email smps.faf@outlook.com and ask for a SMPS FAF Constitution (which includes an application form on the last page), to be emailed to you.Β
π You need to submit an application form to become a member of the FAF. You can either email the completed form to smps.faf@outlook.com or drop it in to the school's office.
βΌοΈ Be sure to submit your form by 3pm on Friday 19 March to receive an invite to the AGM.
Β
Β
π° To join the FAF, you will need to obtain a valid WWCC (Working With Children Check). There isn't a fee to obtain a WWCC, so please apply for one now and you can be more involved with SMPS's activities!
π If you are a member of the FAF, you are invited to attend the 2021 SMPS FAF Annual General Meeting (AGM).Β
Office Bearers will be elected at the AGM on Thursday 25 March 6-7pm. Some roles include President, Secretary and Treasurer.
We're hoping the AGM will be in person, on-site at school. (Subject to COVID restrictions) We'll confirm the location closer to the time.
πͺ΄ On Saturday 20 March, between 10am and 11am, we are holding our first working bee.
π Miss Maddie needs our help to clear the garden on level 1 to make way for our new vegetable, herb and zen garden, so we're having a working bee.Β
βΌοΈ Please register each adult attending via the link below. We'll be meeting at the door beside the gym, on Ferrars St, at 9.45am. A confirmation email will be issued a day or two before the event. What you'll need to bring:
