PBL - Positive Behaviour for Learning

7 Essential features of PBL Placement

In area 1:  We are building a team of consistent members who attend regular meetings including those members from leadership.

In area 2:  We have regular meetings with an agenda, developed and are continuing our PBL action plan, have a variety of ways to disseminate information including a PBL library, staff meetings, newsletters, PBL meetings and newsletters and we are getting constant and regular involvement and feedback from staff around decision making process.

In area 3:  We have identified our core school values through a consultative process of care, courage and cooperation, our school rules are currently in the final voting phase and almost decided, visuals to represent these have been developed to match our whole school communication system and we have voted on a mascot which is the lion!

In area 4:  We are working on developing a teaching matrix for teaching our newly identified rules/expectations and some lesson ideas have been developed for our PBL library for teachers.

In area 5 and 6:  Some hot tips sheets and professional development workshops have been made available on the PBL library.

In area 7:  Developed a debriefing process for staff consultation.  Established a major and minor matrix to ensure consistency across the school and working on a whole school positive reinforcement system.
