Interview - Mrs Helen Griffiths

Music teacher.

 Welcome to  BNPS, where have you worked previously?

I have always taught Music and Performing Arts. I enjoyed many years in the country at Ballarat High School.  I then moved back to Melbourne to work at Ashwood College. Before starting here at BNPS, I was teaching at Cheltenham Primary School.

Who inspires you?  

I am inspired by Musicians, especially those at the top of their game.

What is your favourite thing to do on the weekends? 

I love having dinner and picnics with my family and friends.

If you weren’t a Teacher what do you think you might be doing?

I would be travelling far and wide.

Are you an early bird or a night owl?  

Definitely a night owl.

What might someone be surprised to know about you ?

I love any live music , I love to go to concerts, gigs and shows of all sorts.

What’s something you saw recently that made you smile?  

A year 3 student singing solo in front of his class - beautifully. 

If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would you choose ?

I would choose to be the Queen.

What would you like to say to your class? 

To give things a go - and then work hard to get better at the things you love to do.
