Ellen’s contribution to the arts and reconciliation was outstanding and was inspirational in bringing awareness to reconciliation. Primary school students were invited to create an artwork that reflects ‘What Reconciliation Means through your eyes.’

Art This Week

This term in art, we focused on Mythology from different countries. Our goal was to construct 3D masks of our design that were based off of gods and goddesses. Our masks took a while to make, but the end results were amazing. We used cardboard to make the base and details, changing our plans along the way. We painted the whole thing a block colour, then made foam prints as an added enhancement.

Decoration came next, and we used paint and posca markers to add personality to our pieces. We were marked on our print and mask making abilities. Some pieces were put on display in the office. It was a great topic and overall, we enjoyed it.
