Term 3, Week 2, Kevin Kennedy

Dear Families,

It was wonderful to see so many happy students return to school, and no doubt some equally happy parents. Getting back into the routine of school will be of great benefit to the students and the wider West Beach Primary School community

I was fortunate enough to continue to work onsite through the lockdown, whereas my wife had the challenge of managing home learning with three children, one of whom is a ‘spirited’ three year old boy. It certainly reinforced the challenges of home learning to me and how it needs to be a flexible and supportive program  that doesn’t add to a families stress at an already stressful time.

In the coming days I will send a brief survey home to parents to find out what elements of  home learning worked well  and what didn’t. The information will help us improve the program should we end up in another lockdown.

I have sent a couple of notices via Skoolbag regarding COVID protocols and the postponement of some school events. Please have a read and familiarise yourself with the COVID restrictions that are still in place. Hopefully we can get back to having families at school for assemblies and school sport.

If you have any queries or concerns please let me know.

Kind Regards,

Kevin Kennedy
