P&C News

Open Night

Even though it was a bit wet and stormy it was a fantastic turnout. We want to thank everyone who came out to enjoy the evening. The BBQ was slammed and we couldn’t keep up! The P&C made just over $400 serving everyone dinner and had a lot of fun doing it.

As a last-minute acquisition, we were able to offer eftpos on the night with our new square card reader. We will be adding this to other areas of our fundraising and business shortly so all events will be card friendly.

A big thank you to all the volunteers of the night, Mike Rowston, Helen Vargas, Jennie Tighe, Jarrad Beavis, Jess and Scott Reilly, Aaron Gerdtz, Adriana Badita, Danica Charlton and Lynda Howard. The P&C can’t run without all these fantastic volunteers.

Uniforms

Our new hats are selling well! Don’t forget if you have a hat from the previous shipment you can bring it into the uniform shop and instead of paying for a new hat ($20) in full we will exchange your hat and you and only have to pay $8. The uniform shop is open every Monday from 8:30am.

Upcoming Fundraising

Father’s Day is coming up and we will be running our annual stall. There will be a roster for volunteers to help staff our stall in the P&C room shortly, come pop your name down for a slot and help our kids shop for the beloved father figure in their life. Our fundraising coordinator Jess would love people to help organise the products leading up to the event so if you can’t make it on the day to help out you can still be helpful. Please contact us marangaroopandc@gmail.com if you would like to help out!

Canteen

National Potato and Honey Bee Day Wednesday August 18.

The canteen will be serving up Honey Bee cupcakes for $2 at recess and Stuffed potatoes for $4 at lunchtime. Perfect to warm up on a cold day. Order forms will be sent home with students (also attached below) or order online using the My School Connect App. Get your orders in to enjoy a special lunch!

Thank You Mrs Ward and the Koalas!

The P&C found a beautiful surprise in our post box last week, Mrs Ward and her lovely class had sent us handmade cards to say thank you for all the time we volunteer. This was in aid of WA P&C Day on the 23rd of July. We received a lot of love from all the school with video messages and pictures. We have decorated one of the pinup boards in the P&C room to display all the cards we received. Your appreciation has been overwhelming. We will continue to work hard for the staff and students of MPS.
