The absolute highlight of the week, what we had all been counting up to since day one of school, OUR 100th DAY OF SCHOOL! We were unsure whether or not we would be celebrating at school or from home, but how special it was to have our first day back all together for such a special celebration. Throughout the day students were engaged in a range of activities and games that revolved all around the number 100 (of course). We began our with writing all about the number 100, what we wish we had 100 off, what we would spend $100 on, what we could eat 100 of and what we could do 100 of. In Maths we came together to practise counting to 100, where we counted the 100 objects that was brought from home. Then we became a little competitive and played a race to 100 board game. Students created their own 100 crowns in preparation to show off and parade around for the rest of the school. A highlight from the day was coming together for a Foundation picnic to celebrate with each other.

The excitement from our 100 Days of School celebration continued into the next day where we celebrated Indonesian Day. Students looked dressed in their best Indonesian outfits and took part in a range of activities throughout the day to celebrate Indonesian Day. Activities included traditional Indonesian dancing the ‘Poco-poco’, creating the Indonesian flag, egg and spoon races and exploring different types of traditional Indonesian food. FJ had the chance to make Klepon, a traditional Indonesian sweet treat and shared these with the rest of Foundation.

Thank you to Bu Mundy for organising the day and to Mrs Gill for supplying traditional clothing.

Pupil of the Week

FD: Jennifer S -

For demonstrating a love of learning on Indonesian Day, you were enthusiastic about the different activities and tried your best when writing a sentence about which Indonesian foods you would like to try. Super work Jennifer!

FH: Pil R -

For demonstrating your love of learning during our long jump tournament as a part of our Olympics Choice Board. You used icy pole sticks and unifix to measure the length of your friends' jump from the line. Fantastic work Pil!

FJ:  Thomas C -

For challenging yourself to copy a sentence on your own. You are working hard to reach your own writing goals. Keep up the great work Tom!
