Parents/caregivers can now reserve a FREE ticket to see Mr Paul Litherland's presentation on cyber safety and internet awareness in the Chapel from 7:00pm - 8:30pm on Thursday 27 April (Week 1, Term 2). While this event is free for parents to attend, seats must be reserved HERE

Paul is a truly respected educator. He has become one of the nation's most recognised and highly awarded educators in the fields of cyber safety and internet awareness, culminating in him being named the WA Finalist in the 2022 Australian of the Year.

In his presentation to parents/caregivers, Paul will cover a number of topics, including:

  • Digital citizenship - where our kids are going online, the apps they are using and the information they are sharing.
  • Online footprint - how easy it is to find kids online and what they can do to minimise their risk.
  • Social networking - how the systems work and how to overcome their reach.
  • Sexting and sextortion - trends, risks and up to date stats in regard to these issues.
  • Tips and tricks - how to keep an eye on your children through software and hardware.
  • Easy instructions on what we can do to keep them safe.

Paul will also be presenting to students in Years 7-9 in Term 2.

WINTER UNIFORM - TERMS 2 AND 3

A reminder that all students are expected to wear the College's Winter Uniform as of the first day of Term 2.

Our College Uniform provides us with a sense of pride, building identity and a sense of community. It also helps students prepare for the workforce, as whether it’s wearing safety gear in a construction job or corporate wear in an office, most jobs require a standard of dress. Our uniform promotes equality and reduces peer pressure as students all wear the same uniform. Research suggests that where uniform policies are enforced, students are more disciplined, listen better, and a better learning environment is created.

The items below are to be worn by all students in Terms 2 and 3. For more information, please refer to the Sacred Heart College Uniform Guide.
