COMPETITORS CROSS COUNTRY RESULTS

The 2023 Competitors Cross Country event took place at Carine Open Space last Friday. Fortunately, the rain passed and the conditions were perfect for the race. The level of competition was high, as was participant numbers, with 120 students running in the event. 

 

A big congratulations to all those who took part in the 3.4km run, especially to the following students who placed first and second in their year group.

YEAR 7

  • Champion Female: Ava Brennan (Kimberley)- 1st overall female (amazing!)
  • Runner-up Champion Female: Zoe Doyle (Trinity) - 3rd overall female
  • Champion Male: Elijah Griffiths (Carden) - 15th overall male
  • Runner-up Champion Male: Patrick Campbell (Normandy) - 17th overall male

YEAR 8

  • Champion Female: Vienna Matera (Kimberley) - 7th overall female
  • Runner-up Champion Female: Isabella Elliott (O'Reilly) - 9th overall female
  • Champion Male: Samuel O'Brien (Carden) - 10th overall male
  • Runner-up Champion Male: Emmet Kelly (Thu Duc) - 21st overall male

YEAR 9

  • Champion Female: Hayley Cavanagh (Thu Duc) - 2nd overall female
  • Runner-up Champion Female: Makenzi Aloi (O'Reilly) - 6th overall female
  • Champion Male: Tomas Avecilla Puebla (Thu Duc) - 2nd overall male
  • Runner-up Champion Male: Zac Varricchio (Hannan) - 4th overall male

YEAR 10

  • Champion Female: Erika Murphy (O'Reilly) - 8th overall female
  • Runner-up Champion Female: Miki O'Leary (Hannan) - 26th overall female
  • Champion Male: Matthew Dodds (Carden) - 1st overall male
  • Runner-up Champion Male: Noah McEntee (Normandy) - 5th overall male

YEAR 11

  • Champion Female: Julia Trimboli (Thu Duc) - 16th overall female
  • Runner-up Champion Female: Ella Algeri (Hannan) - 18th overall female
  • Champion Male: Taj Butter (Hannan) - 8th overall male
  • Runner-up Champion Male: Samuel Swadling (Kimberley) - 16th overall male

YEAR 12

  • Champion Female: Ashley Murphy (O'Reilly) - 10th overall female
  • Runner-up Champion Female: Stevie Pethick (Thu Duc) - 30th overall female
  • Champion Male: Charlie Burke (Thu Duc) - 3rd overall male
  • Runner-up Champion Male: Daniel Vladich (Kimberley) - 4th overall male

 

These students will be presented with their trophies/medals at the next Whole School Assembly. A full list of results has been made available to students via the Student Notices on Microsoft Teams.
