Mr Butts' Announcements

Anzac Day

Our students marched with great pride and respect at the local Anzac Day march last week. It was wonderful to see so many families present. Thank you to all the parents and students who attended.

Catholic Education Week

This week is Catholic Education Week across Victoria and we have taken part in a variety of events and activities to celebrate.  Yesterday our Gr Prep-4 students took part in a reading afternoon in a variety of places around Mooroopna and tomorrow we dress up in house colours for some multi age activities.  We conclude the week with a mass at 9:45am in the Marian Centre.  Thank you to Mrs Hicks for organising the week.

Congratulations Miss Turk!

A big congratulations goes to Miss Turk who was married last weekend.  Coby and Brad tied the knot in Flowerdale at a beautiful ceremony with family, friends and Maisy, Moe and Jimmy. Liz was a very proud mother of the bride and Mr Preston did a faultless job as groomsman.  We wish Coby and Brad every blessing for a joyous and fruitful marriage.

Covid cases

There has been a number of student covid-19 cases recently and to minimise update on isolation requirements. The Victorian Government recommends that a test is undertaken if symptoms are present.  If a positive result is returned, it is recommended to isolate for at least 5 days and until symptoms are no longer present.

I appreciate your cooperation as we embark on the cold and flu season. For more information, visit the Corona virus information website

School Uniform

Just a friendly reminder to all parents about ear rings.  Please note that students only silver studs or sleepers (one per ear) are permitted at school. I appreciate your cooperation with this.

Bingo Donation

As you all know, St Mary's bingo contributes regular donations to the school across the year. This week a $3000 donation was made for which we are very thankful.

Would you like to hear the joke about a piece of paper?  Forget about it, it's tearable!

How does a penguin build it's house?  Igloos it together!
