~ Do all that you do with love ~

Dear Parents and Friends of St Therese's Primary School,

Getting to know you

I was hoping that I would get the opportunity to meet more of you at school drop off time in the mornings but the cold, wet mornings really haven't given me the chance. I think many of you are preferring to remain in your warm cars as the children venture off to the school gates. Perhaps the fact that we have spent so long under Covid restrictions has also kept you away. So I'd like to take this opportunity to invite you to come and say hello. If you walk your children to school, please know that you are welcome to walk with them into the playground, I'd like to get to know you as well as your children. Some of you have seen me lurking underneath the hood of my waterproof coat and we have had a quick chat, some of you may not even realise it's me out on duty - so just in case you are wondering what the new principal looks like, wonder no more. (Please note - I'm not a fan of having my photograph taken, this is quite a rarity!)

Keep an eye out for an invitation to come and have a cuppa as well, just a simple affair but the chance to welcome you in for a cup of tea and a chat at drop off or pick up time.

Foundation Enrolments 2023

Have you got a little person ready to start school next year? If the answer to that question is yes, then my next questions is - have you completed an enrolment form for them? If the answer to that question is no, please contact the office. We still have places available in prep for 2023 and would appreciate knowing as soon as possible if any of our existing families require a place.

Covid and Face Masks Update

The Victorian Department of Health strongly recommends that face masks are worn in indoor settings.

As a result, we are asking all students aged 8 and over and all staff to wear masks when in class (except for where removing a mask is necessary for clear communication) from now until the end of winter.

Please support this by explaining to your child/ren the importance of this simple step in keeping our school as safe as possible. This action will help us to ensure that as many students and staff as possible are protected from Covid and other winter illnesses.

Do you follow us on Facebook?

We are currently working hard to increase our profile. Our aim is to increase the number of posts we make, sharing events as they happen and using our Facebook page to remind you of events coming up. Please be reassured this will not replace our newsletter or the communication between you and the staff. If you are a Facebook user, please look for us - St Therese's Primary School, Cranbourne North. Our profile has the official school logo.

Prayer for the week

May the Lord guide our hearts, lead us in the ways of love and fill us with peace.

May He bless us all as we go forth to work for the children in our care.

Amen

Have a great week!
