Principals Thoughts

It has been a fantastic week for all staff and students at Red Cliffs Secondary College, with the sun finally coming out and the weather warming up it has topped the week off nicely. Upon walking around the school at various times throughout the week, I have felt extremely proud of our school environment particularly with the activities that have been taking place. These activities include students filming for media, science experiments, and various Physical Education classes, with all students appearing to be enjoying themselves. To see many happy, engaged students having fun whilst learning is what school is all about.

Lunchtime activities

With the weather warming up, many students are taking to the outdoors and utilising the school’s facilities to keep active. It is fantastic to see an increase in lunchtime activities and the positive interactions between both staff and students. A popular lunchtime activity includes a friendly competition between Staff v Student basketball, table tennis, and more. Unfortunately for the students, the staff currently hold the upper hand across most sporting codes.

Progress Reports

Student progress reports are complete. The progress reports will be published for parental/caregiver viewing on Tuesday 9th August 2022. Parent teacher interviews will be held later in the term with a date yet to be advised.

Richmond Institute – Bringing your A-Game

Nigel Pavilach from the Richmond Institute will be partnering up with our school’s Wellbeing team, and together will give a presentation to our Year 12 students on ‘Bringing You’re A-Game’. This will be taking place on Friday 12th August 2022 (next Friday). Red Cliffs Secondary College is grateful for this opportunity and are confident that our Year 12 students will benefit greatly from the presentation.

Science Week

Science takes a spotlight next week at Red Cliffs Secondary College where the school will be getting in early to celebrate Science Week. The Science faculty are doing some amazing work in this area with many friendly competitions and events planned for the week ahead. We invite the families of students to join us on campus in the Science Centre at our Science Week Open Evening, taking place on Wednesday 10th August 2022 from 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Happy Friday

As we wrap up another week at Red Cliffs Secondary College, I wish everyone a safe and happy weekend and look forward to continuing on with great success on Monday as we head into Week 5 of Term 3.
