Student of the Week Awards Presented 22/7/22

Madelyn B. - 00L

This award goes to Madelyn for being brave in her writing this week. Madelyn independently ‘had a go’ writing her own idea and each word in her sentences. She then edited her writing by looking closely at words that didn’t look quite right and trying them in different ways. Amazing effort Madelyn!

Jacob E. - 1/2D

Jacob is to be congratulated for his astonishing efforts in class this week. His determination to succeed has blown my mind, particularly with his revision of addition and subtraction strategies in maths. He has gone beyond my expectations by even continuing his learning at home. Jacob, you are exactly what a great student looks like. Keep working hard and never let anything stop you from learning!

Medina N. - 1/2G

This award goes to Medina for her wonderful job in Writing this week. Medina has been an active participant in class discussions, and is one of the first to put her hand up to remind the class what we have learnt the day before. She is very confident in explaining what a rhyming word is which has led her to write an amazing rhyming poem. Keep up the great work Medina.

Kai C. - 1/2K

This award goes to Kai for the big HEART he displays in all that he does. Kai puts 100% effort into every task. Whether it is ensuring his work meets the expectation of our class WAGOLL wall, or making sure his peers feel welcome and accepted in the class, Kai can always be relied upon to give it his all. We are so proud of you Kai and we are so pleased to have the opportunity to be around such warmth and positivity. You are a champion.

Alisha W. - 3/4B

This award goes to Alisha for her fantastic work in writing. She demonstrated a wonderful understanding of nouns, adjectives and verbs within cinquain poems. Alisha wrote a wonderfully creative cinquain poem about ‘Spiders’. Her emotion phrase clearly showed how much she does not like spiders! Keep up the great work Alisha.

Charlotte P. - 3/4K

This award goes to Charlotte for the fantastic cinquain poetry she has written this week. Charlotte has selected some original topics to write about such as phobias. She always carefully considers her word choice to make her writing as interesting and entertaining as possible. Well done Charlotte, we can can’t wait to read the other poems you write during this unit.

Bella L. - 3/4S

This award is presented to Bella for the creative cinquain poem that she wrote about guinea pigs this week. Bella carefully selected a variety of adjectives and verbs appropriate for her topic and published it on Word for display. Well done Bella. You have worked very hard to write your poems.
