Student of the Week Awards Presented 15/7/22

Hendrix B. - 00L

This award goes to Hendrix for his wonderful effort in Maths this week. Hendrix enthusiastically practised counting backwards and forwards starting from different numbers with his partner. He showed the HEART value of Excellence by focusing on careful counting using his 100s chart and counting beads. Well done Hendrix. You are a Scoresby superstar!

Elouise J. - 1/2D

Congratulations to Elouise for having a fantastic start to Term 3! Elouise has shown great enthusiasm towards her learning this week. She has demonstrated the HEART value of Excellence by giving all tasks a shot and asking questions to clarify her learning. Elouise, you’re a STAR – well done and keep up the great work!

Dave A. - 1/2G

This award goes to Dave for settling into Scoresby Primary School so well. He shows the HEART values each and everyday, especially the value of Respect. He is extremely respectful to not only his teacher but his classmates as well. He never complains he just smiles and completes the task at hand. 1/2G love having you and I am excited to see what you achieve this year.

Tom B. - 1/2K

This award goes to Tom for being the most organised superhero in our classroom. Without fail, Tom always remembers to bring in his communication folder, reading log, and all the necessary equipment to set his day up for success. He has also taken it upon himself to help other students organise themselves at the end of the day by handing out reading logs to the class.  Without a doubt, Tom is the man to get the job done! Thank you so much for the effort you go to support yourself and others. You are a star!

Logan S. - 3/4B

This award goes to Logan for his hard work during maths this week. He has enjoyed learning about different types of maps and created a very detailed birds-eye view map of his bedroom. Logan has also been using grid references to accurately describe the location of different objects.Keep up the fantastic work Logan!

Kynan B. - 3/4K

This award goes to Kynan for the excellent effort he put into his birds eye view drawing of our classroom. He listened carefully to instructions, worked independently and gave careful consideration to what size each object needed to be. Kynan, this level of effort and ‘never give up’ attitude will see you achieving much in the future. Keep up the great work.

Lilly B. - 3/4S

This award is presented to Lilly as she is becoming more confident when sharing and contributing during class discussions. This week, Lilly has answered questions and shared her ideas with the whole class, speaking confidently and clearly. Well done Lilly. It is great to hear you joining in more often.

Baileigh K. - 5/6F

This award goes to Baileigh for displaying the Scoresby HEART values of Respect and Excellence. This week, when we had our Phoenix Soar incursion, she listened carefully to instructions and took part in all activities. Baileigh demonstrated great team work and practised her amazing basketball skills. She should be very proud of herself! 

Mohammad K. - 5/6M

This award is presented to Mohammad for the positive attitude he has demonstrated since the start of  Term 3. Mohammad completes his set tasks to a good standard and is working hard on curbing his talk time at the table. Mohammad has a great amount of general knowledge to contribute to class discussions and the students are always interested in what he has to say. Keep up all the great work you are doing Mohammad and I look forward to continuing our learning journey together. 

Cecilia A. - Visual Arts

This award goes to Cecilia for her energy and enthusiasm in PE classes. Cecilia listens carefully to instructions before practising new skills. She has very good fundamental motor skills and is always willing to have extra components added. This week in PE Cecilia demonstrated her terrific catching skills, capably clapping numerous times whilst waiting for her thrown ball to return. Fantastic effort Cecilia!

Bailey C. - Performing Arts

This award goes to Bailey Cook for attempting multiple parts and successfully learning the bass, chords and melody for the 1,3,5 song. Well done Bailey!
