College Jackets

With the cold weather arriving we encourage students to stay warm at all times.  We have had a big rise in the number of students requiring to go home with cold and flu symptoms. There also appears to be an increasing number of students attending Trades and Farm without their College jacket.  Could you also please check that your child has a College jacket and that it is in appropriate condition.

Busy Times

Last Tuesday we had a super busy evening, especially as we had two of the buses out of action for servicing and repair. Mr Jones and Mr White juggled the afternoon town trip, Country Week Hockey and AFL training in Harvey and the two College Netball teams games at the Recreation Centre.  This all with only one bus in action and taking a lot of co-ordination and pre-planned timing. Thank you to all the staff and students for their patience and co-operation.

Whilst all the offsite activities were going on, onsite there was Country Week Basketball training, equine students at horses, along with Mr Foster having the Motor X Track running as well. What a busy afternoon!

Unclaimed Laundry

Karen Green our amazing Laundry Lady has reported that there is once again a pile of unclaimed laundry, both recreational clothing and uniform items continuing to grow. Please ask your child to check the laundry and collect any of their items and  once again a reminder to ensure that ALL items of clothing are numbered. Thank you.

Containers For Change

The Student Councillors requested the College get involved with this wonderful campaign as a fabulous environmental and fundraising initiative. We have purchased and installed recycling bins in all the dorms to place their clean recyclable containers into, but unfortunately it has not been very well supported by the students to date.

Our registration also allows family and friends to donate their containers to the College registration. Our registration number is Scheme ID #10284074. All funds received will be distributed by the Student Council to offset the costs of activities such as Country Week, College Ball etc,  to assist students involved.

Let’s get on board with this wonderful initiative that benefits our Planet and great for the students!
