Welcome to our new staff for 2021

In this edition of il giornale we would like to introduce you to School of Innovation Learning Mentor and Careers Practitioner Belinda Gleeson and Learning Support Officers Chelsea Crawford, Luci Amodio and Ella McDonald.

Belinda Gleeson

I was born in Sydney NSW and grew up in Narooma on the far south coast of NSW. I grew up playing a variety of sports and loving many recreational pursuits such as surfing, horse riding, hiking (the list goes on). After finishing school, I spent a few years travelling around the UK and Europe, before returning to study education at the University of Wollongong. I have been teaching for almost 15 years now, mostly in Health and Physical Education, in a large secondary high school in Western Sydney for the majority of that time.

My family and I moved to Shepparton in 2019. I undertook further study to become a careers practitioner, and was very pleased to begin teaching at St Anne's College this year. Starting in a new role, in a new school, within a different state from my training, is a daunting experience. I love that all of the staff members are so supportive of one another and I am constantly amazed by everyone's desire and ability to work together, side by side to provide our students with an open-minded and supportive school experience, that really encourages everyone to be the best version of themselves.

Chelsea Crawford

Hey everyone! My name is Chelsea Crawford and I am a Learning Support Officer for the Year 7 team. Before working at St Anne's I worked for Berry Street Victoria in residential care youth houses.

I have two sons, Theodore and Angelo, and we often attend basketball and football games and spend time with our extended family. I feel extremely lucky to be a part of the St Anne's team. Everyone has been so welcoming and it's been such a positive environment to work in.

Luci Amodio

Hi, my name is Luci and I’m currently a Learnjng Support Officer at St Anne’s College. I attended high school at Goulburn Valley Grammar and completed VCE in Year 12, to then go on to study primary teaching which is the degree I am currently completing. I love spending time with my family, doing things such as going to the football, out for dinner or just being with each other on weekends. My main hobby is any sort of exercise, but a real love for Pilates at the moment. Before working at St Anne’s I worked in administration, but getting my job at St Anne’s has been such a blessing as it fits into my uni degree and I love it. The college is a very calm and happy place where I get to do what I love every single day.

Ella McDonald

I graduated Year 12 last year at Notre Dame College, Shepparton. In my family I have my mum, dad, older sister and my dog Jasper who is a Whippet. My interests outside of the college include travelling, cooking and spending time with friends and family. What I enjoy about being part of St Anne’s is how everyone loves a joke and is really supportive of each other.
