Getting to know our Advisory Council members

In this edition of il giornale we are introducing a series of St Anne's College Advisory Council member profiles so that our college community members can get to know a little more about them. This week we'd like to introduce you to Advisory Council Deputy Chair and mum to Year 2 student Charlie, Jeni Nind.

Hi everyone! My name is Jeni Nind and I’m currently the Deputy Chair of the St Anne’s College Advisory Council. I’m originally from St Louis, Missouri (USA) but moved to Australia in1999 and married my husband, Scott. Together we are blessed with our son, Charlie who is in Year 2 at St Anne’s and has been at the college since his Foundation year. The Reggio Emilia philosophy of learning drew us to St Anne’s and I’m hoping that being a part of the Advisory Council, I will be able to assist in a small way to bring the vision of St Anne’s College to life. 

I come from a very large and strong Catholic family, including an uncle who was a Deacon at our local church in St Louis. Charlie’s after-school and weekend sports and activities keep us very busy, but we love to get away in our caravan whenever we can. We also enjoy all kinds of travelling and cannot wait to get back to America to see my family and dear old friends who we miss terribly. We have a beautiful Golden Retriever, Max, and two gorgeous kittens, Luna and Louie, who round out our little family. 

I’m almost always at school pick-up and drop-off so if you have a question or just want a chat, please come and say “Hi”.
