Career & VET Report

March 2021

VCE Study Camp

In the first week of Term 2, eight of our VCE students attended a study camp in Ballarat. The students gained great insight into University life through their stay at Federation University Mount Clear Student residential Colleges and by spending a day touring all of the Campuses including Mount Clear, TAFE Campus and the Creative Arts Campus. They were also able to attend a study skills session which gave them invaluable skills in revision and preparation for SAC’s and Exams.

The feedback from students was very positive and I would like to thank them for being co-operative, polite and interested in all activities.

It is not possible through the tyranny of distance and time factors to attend all Universities for similar programs so I would encourage all students to access the many on-line seminars as listed below.

Year 13

The Year13 Expo is officially back in May 2021! Youth from across Australia will come together over three days during National Careers Week (May 17 - 19) to discover what their post-school options are.

The Year13 Expo is an online careers event that allows youth, parents and teachers to engage directly with education, employment and travel providers from across Australia. We will also be hosting webinars and workshops from an exciting range of speakers including professional athletes and tech CEO’s.

Students at Edenhope College from Years 7-12 have received an email inviting them to join the on line Expo. All seminars will be available from Monday 17 – Wednesday 19 of May. They are all after School and students will have the opportunity to book into the sessions that interest them.

I will be seeing all students in the Secondary School this week to assist them in planning a program to suit their interests.

I hope that students will take advantage of this great opportunity.
