The Armidale Diocesan Primary Sport Council now has a website and facebook page where you can go to find details on the various Diocese and Polding sporting events.

School Athletics Carnival

The school athletics carnival we be held at O'Connor on Tuesday 1st June. 

Students have been improving their skills with Jay Stone over the past few weeks and have been competing in qualifications for shot put, discus and long jump. We have also been running the high jump event during school and will present our winners ribbons on Tuesday with the other events.

We still need parent volunteers for timekeeping, infants events and to help teachers run the field events. If you are able to help out please let the office know.

Diocesan Rugby Trials

Congratulations to Sam Lawry and George Douglas-Menzies who have been selected to represent the diocese at the upcoming Polding Rugby Trials. 

St Mary's sent down five boys ( Sam Lawry, George Douglas-Menzies, Darcy Lawlor, Joachim Rice and Charlie Rice) who joined with students from Gunnedah to make a team for the day. The boys played four games over the course of the day and won every one, well done!

Diocesan Gala Day

Based on the replies to our expression of interest for the Diocesan Gala Day we will be sending: one junior and one senior netball team, two junior soccer teams and two senior soccer teams. The final note for payment and confirmation, for those students that expressed an interest, will be posted on Compass this week.

Thank you to Kristy Curry who has volunteered to coach the Junior girls netball team. We still need a coach for one of the junior soccer teams and one of the senior soccer teams. If you would like to help out please let the office know.
